The agricultural and allied products were sold in the market through middle men who exploit the tribal people and takes major share of the profit. To solve the problem we have started a collection centre in 2012 in Kannampady tribal settlement, adjacent to Periyar WLS. The area was underdeveloped and the people solely depend on forest resources for the livelihood. The  collectioncentre has become a registered Farmer Producer Organization – Hill Range Farmer Producer Company with a turn over more than 3 Lakhs within half an year. The products of the company includes NTFPS including Broom made from Phoenix leaves, Garcinia, Turmeric, Honey, Goose berry etcnd agricultural products such as black pepper, Coffee, Cardamom, ginger, arrow root powder etc. Through the interventions income level of the tribal family could be increased to 40%.
